    Description

    Job Description

Agility Robotics is a pioneer in humanoid robotics. Our robot, Digit, is the first to be sold into workplaces across the globe. We differentiate ourselves through our expertise in imagining, engineering, and delivering robots with advanced mobility, dexterity, intelligence, and efficiency — robots specifically designed to work alongside people, in spaces built for people. Every day, we break through engineering challenges and invent new solutions and capabilities that will one day make robots commonplace and approachable. This work is our passion and responsibility: our mission is to make businesses more productive and people's lives more fulfilling.

    About the Role:

We're pushing the boundaries of humanoid robotics at Agility Robotics. Our team combines cutting-edge technology with a passion for innovation. We're looking for a seasoned hardware integration and test engineer to help drive the development and refinement of our robotic platforms. If you thrive in multidisciplinary environments and have a strong mechatronics background, this role is a unique opportunity to shape the future of robotics.

    Location:

This position can be based either within commuting distance of our Salem, OR headquarters or remotely in the San Francisco Bay Area. For remote candidates, regular travel to Salem, typically 1 week per month, will be required.

    Role Overview

The Staff Hardware Technical Program Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of hardware programs at Agility Robotics. You'll oversee the entire lifecycle of our hardware development efforts, from concept through production, ensuring that timelines, resources, and deliverables are achieved. This role requires deep expertise in hardware development cycles, exceptional cross-functional collaboration, and mastery of program management tools.

You'll be the bridge between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and leadership teams, helping to bring our cutting-edge robotics hardware to life.

    About The Work

    • Lead the execution of hardware programs, driving on-time delivery of milestones and objectives.
    • Build and maintain comprehensive program schedules, including Gantt charts and Jira workflows, to track progress and dependencies.
    • Proactively identify risks, resolve roadblocks, and ensure alignment across teams.
    • Guide programs through the full hardware development lifecycle, including design, prototyping, testing, validation, and production.
    • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, systems, test, and firmware engineering teams to align on requirements and deliverables.
    • Collaborate with strategic vendors and internal stakeholders on driving co-development initiatives.
    • Facilitate design reviews and ensure clear communication of technical decisions and updates.
    • Partner with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure readiness for production, from prototyping to scaling.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to address lead times, component sourcing, and risk mitigation.
    • Oversee prototype builds, initial production runs, and the resolution of hardware issues during manufacturing.
    • Act as the central point of contact across hardware, software, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
    • Drive alignment on program goals, timelines, and deliverables among stakeholders.
    • Provide clear, concise program updates and recommendations to executives and leadership teams.

    About You

    Experience:

    • 10+ years of experience managing complex hardware programs, preferably in robotics, aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics.
    • Proven track record of successfully delivering hardware products on time and within scope.

    Technical Expertise:

    • Deep understanding of hardware development cycles, from design and prototyping to validation and production.
    • Strong familiarity with manufacturing processes and supply chain operations.
    • Expertise in program management tools, including Gantt charts and Jira, and familiarity with Agile workflows.

    Skills:

    • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders ranging from individual contributors up to and including Agility's executive leadership team.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on proactive risk mitigation.

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

    Why Join Agility Robotics?

    • Be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that's shaping the future of humanoid robotics.
    • Work on groundbreaking technology that has real-world impact.
    • Enjoy a competitive salary, equity, and benefits package.

We offer a culture that supports flexible work arrangements, professional development opportunities, and a generous parental leave program.

Agility Robotics is committed to a work environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. Each individual has the right to work in a professional atmosphere that promotes equal employment opportunities and prohibits unlawful discriminatory practices, including harassment.
