We are seeking an experienced biotech/pharmaceutical professional to join our team as a
Strategic Accounts/Business Development Manager
. This individual will partner with the CMO, leading business development projects from search and evaluation through to negotiation and execution, while contributing scientific and business insights to support our overall strategy.
Responsibilities
Deliver on the BD strategy, building a strong funnel of opportunities, including but not limited to research partnerships, biotech investments and strategic collaborations
Identify, assess, and execute creative and varied deals with potential partners including pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, foundations, etc
Develop, implement, and execute operational roadmaps to deliver on the business development strategy
Manage robust due diligences for internal pipeline programs, supporting portfolio management and driving ROI
Act as the lead on competitive market intelligence, providing timely, compelling, and actionable insights covering the field of AI-driven drug development, and the competitive landscape of our internal pipeline programs
Qualifications/Experience
Ph.
D., M.D., and/or MBA preferred
5+ yrs experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry in a business development role
Strong understanding of drug discovery/development and the key value drivers and barriers to success
Depth of knowledge covering different therapeutic modalities and the pharma industry
Demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate, structure, negotiate, and execute deals with biotech, pharma companies, and academic institutions
Ability to inject energy into a deal process, providing leadership and driving towards a successful conclusion
Exceptional analytical skills and ability to distil complex and imperfect information into clear and compelling recommendations
