    To help us drive excellence, you'll get to:

    Provide key input into the development of the Corporate and Plant strategic business plan and identify and track key measurable to support corporate and department business plan goals.

    Develop and drive the development of departmental strategic goals and identify and track key measurable to support the department goals.

    Track, monitor and implement required improvement activities related to business plan, goals, issues, etc.
    Assist Corporate and Plant activities to achieve customer cost reductions goals.
    Provides direct leadership and supervises assigned Engineering staff.
    Direct and drive the utilization of problem-solving methods for related corporate and customer issues.
    Utilize teamwork to develop company and department synergy.

    Direct reports include Welding, Controls and Manufacturing Engineers and role is part of the Plant Management Team reporting to the Plant Manager.


    SUCCESS FACTORS:
    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in Engineering or Engineering cross discipline. Master's Degree preferred.
    Minimum 2 years as Engineering Manager with 8 years of Engineering experience in an automotive/welding/assembly environment.
    Demonstrate Engineering expertise in improving manufacturing processes and throughput for automotive welding and assembly in collaboration with multi-disciplinary team.
    Exhibit Engineering leadership style that values objective analysis, logical-rooted alternative solutions, lean manufacturing, and empowers Engineers.
    Vision and ability to translate operating techniques into applications and results.
