Anchor Innovation is a maritime-focused defense company supporting U.S. Navy and DoD customers in small craft operations, unmanned systems, maintenance, and test & evaluation.
We are seeking a driven early-career professional who wants direct exposure to ownership and senior leadership. This is a high-trust role with visibility into pipeline strategy, competitive positioning, and growth planning.
You will work directly with C-suite leadership on opportunity evaluation, capture execution, and business development operations. You will see how strategy turns into revenue.
This role requires discretion, maturity, initiative, and intellectual stamina.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and track opportunity pipeline , GovTribe, FPDS, etc.)
- Research incumbents, contract values, NAICS codes, and competitors
- Prepare structured pursue/no-pursue briefs
- Maintain capture timelines and internal trackers
- Support proposal coordination and compliance documentation
- Build weekly pipeline dashboards
- Monitor competitor awards and activity
- Assume ownership of defined market segments over time
Required Qualifications:
- 0–3 years professional experience
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Clear written communication
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to work in person in Virginia Beach
Preferred:
- Modest exposure to defense field
- Military, Athletics, or ROTC background
- Experience using research tools
- Background in data science, finance, logistics, or operations
Compensation:
$50,000 – $77,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Performance-based growth in responsibility and compensation.
