    This position requires a highly organized individual with strong initiative, capable of completing multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Advise clients on intellectual property matters, including brand and copyright clearance, brand protection marketing campaigns, product launches, and more.
    • Assist in registering and managing intellectual property prosecution for trademarks and patents.
    • Manage intellectual property infringement issues, including online takedowns, drafting and sending cease-and-desist letters, and legal agreements.
    • Partner with outside counsel and client attorneys to advise on best practices.
    • Prepare business practices and policies related to intellectual property.
    • Perform intellectual property due diligence and draft and negotiate items for mergers and acquisition transactions.
    • Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret various agreements relating to the entertainment industry.
    • Analyze and advise on legal rights and obligations, deal structure, guild agreements, intellectual property matters, claims, clearances, audits, and other matters as needed.
    • Work collaboratively to develop and/or improve systems, processes, controls, and procedures that enhance efficiency and ensure excellent client service.
    • Apply problem-solving skills and practical business judgment to maximize revenue, minimize risk, and foster long-term client relationships.
    • Ensure consistency of contract terms with Tri Star's best practices, policies, and business goals.
    • Expedite and review contracts from client attorneys, business managers, insurance companies, production companies, or any other contractual agreements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive decision-making and facilitate communication.
    • Endorse contracts prior to submission to the CEO for approval and processing by Business Management.
    • Act as a strategic partner on the Executive Leadership team and work closely with staff to ensure they meet performance expectations, coach, and develop the team to deliver against key business metrics.

    Requirements:

    • 8+ years of experience in the entertainment industry, with a focus on in-house intellectual property.
    • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and admission to the California Bar.
    • Strong project management skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Tri Star personnel.
    • Proven track record of outstanding performance in a previous role, preferably in human resources.
    • Able to reliably commute and report to the Tri Star office.
