    Human Resources Intern - Corporate | Summit Healthcare Mgmt | Franklin, Tennessee
    About the Job:
    The purpose of the Human Resources Intern role is to provide a hands-on learning experience to an individual pursuing a degree in Human Resources, or a related field, within the context of healthcare. The intern will partner with HR, total rewards and learning development staff to support and drive departmental initiatives and improve employee engagement. The internship will support routine tasks and audits, research and collaborate on creation of policies and best practices, while ensuring compliance. The intern will assist with process documentation and training development, leveraging our HRIS and learning management systems to improve the employee experience. This internship aims to foster growth, learning, and professional development in the field of human resources, preparing the intern for a future HR role in healthcare.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Assist with administrative tasks for HR, recruitment, total rewards and learning development teams.
    • Conduct quality assurance audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
    • Assist with development, review, and modifications to HR policies.
    • Participate in 90-day feedback sessions for new hires and exit interviews for terming employees.
    • Assist with gathering and evaluating market salary information for new locations and existing roles.
    • Research labor laws and best practices for human resources.
    • Assist in research, collection, and comparison of data from various sources for analysis.
    • Support data analysis efforts to identify trends, patterns, and insights for informed decision-making.
    • Collaborate with team members to develop or enhance and document processes and best practices.
    • Assist in the implementation of benefits buildout in HRIS & preparation for open enrollment 2025.
    • Participate in meetings and presentations to share findings and recommendations with stakeholders.
    • Support and contribute to various HR projects and initiatives as needed.
    • Assist with optimization of HRIS, payroll and LMS systems.
    Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:
    • Pursuing a bachelor's in human resources or a related field.
    • Completion of sophomore year or must have earned 60 college credits towards degree.
    • Genuine interest in HR within a healthcare environment and desire to learn and grow in this field.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to consider downstream impacts of decisions.
    • Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels, including team members and external vendors.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft office suite; with an emphasis on excel.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Detail-oriented, organized, with ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
