- Identify prospective clients and develop new business relationships with commercial clients
- Examines, evaluates & recommends approval of commercial credits.
- Identifies & analyzes markets to develop prospects for commercial banking.
- Actively participates in business development & networking opportunities.
- Interviews customers & prospects to request specified information for credit applications and Treasury Services opportunities.
- Analyzes applicant's financial status, credit, & property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan. Works with credit analyst for verification & recommendation.
- Compiles loan package & facilitates negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options, & other credit terms.
- Presents credits to loan committee for approval.
- Ensures loan agreements are complete & accurate according to policy.
- Assures timely loan closing & funding activities.
- Ability to actively manage client portfolio to include loan exception monitoring and credit quality.
- Follow and adhere to all Bank policies and regulations.
- Adherence to all policies and procedures of the Bank including BSA/AML
- Any and all duties as requested by management
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
- 3+ years experience in banking relationship management role or related business lending experience; direct in-person contact preferred.
- General knowledge of core business products and services including deposit and Treasury Services.
- Strong understanding of credit products, credit application process, and potential outcomes.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners and influence others without direct control.
- Ability to identify opportunities and issues by asking targeted questions to assess current client needs and goals.
- Ability to consider and balance client needs and objectives with respect to associated challenges and risks.
- Ability to determine priorities on a daily basis and maintain a balanced work approach to achieve business objectives.
- Understanding of general and sound business practices, financial and economic concepts, and how business needs vary by industry/market.
- Must possess strong written, credit analysis and verbal communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
- Proven track record of consistent loan and deposit production.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software.
