Provide leadership to the Service Department in ensuring that the goals and objectives of the department and company are met in terms of providing world-class service to our customers. Organize develop and present service training Administrator all warranty claims policy adjustment credits as related to field problems Oversee the entire service department Maintain accurate data for evaluation by Engineering and Manufacturing departments Stay current with technology that effects the asphalt plant and road building industry Has responsibility for the entire Service Department Responsible for telephone service assistance as needed working from Astec Inc offices or home Provide accurate data for evaluation by Engineering and Manufacturing Departments for immediate solution to correct field service areas make recommendations as needed Evaluate staff performance at meeting company personal performance goals make recommendations based on appraisals Ensure performance appraisals are utilized throughout the department Project a positive company image by interacting with fellow associates customers corporate management in a cooperative supportive courteous manner Support promote core values of Astec Inc Follow company policies procedures at times Perform other duties as assigned To be successful this role your experience competencies Ability effectively work member team required Excellent communication skills both oral written required Ability manage conflict resolve issues most positive fashion parties concerned is required Strong analytical skills required Knowledge aspects operation asphalt plant required Basic computer skills basic mathematical skills ability effectively manage others provide coaching discipline department employees needed minimum eight years experience HMA industry occasional travel valid driver license good driving record able obtain maintain valid passport Must meet regular attendance requirements Supervisor Leadership Expectations Responsible entire Service Department directly supervises Administrative Assistant several Service Managers who have staff reporting them Our Culture Values Employees part Astec embody values below their work Safety Devotion Integrity Respect Innovation NOTE Position responsible certain internal control responsibilities These internal control responsibilities verbally communicated incumbent periodic feedback provided relates performance these internal control responsibilities WORK ENVIRONMENT Office While performing duties job employee regularly exposed risk injury office environment occasionally manufacturing shop plant environment Duties include typical office setting extensive computer work sitting standing Reasonable accommodations made enable individuals with disabilities perform essential functions.
