- Program Leadership:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive softball program that includes skill development, team strategy, and sportsmanship.
• Set high standards for academic and athletic performance for all student-athletes.
• Foster a positive, competitive, and inclusive team culture. - Coaching:
• Plan and conduct effective practice sessions starting in August with Fall Ball and continuing through the regular season and post-season.
• Provide individualized coaching and feedback to student-athletes to enhance their skills and performance.
• Develop game strategies, manage game-day activities, and make real-time decisions during competitions. - Administrative Duties:
• Coordinate scheduling of games, practices, and team events.
• Ensure compliance with all school, district, and league policies and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of player eligibility, team statistics, and inventory of equipment and uniforms. - Player Support:
• Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and provide support as needed.
• Advocate for student-athletes with teachers, counselors, and administrators.
• Promote the physical and mental well-being of players through proper training, conditioning, and injury prevention. - Experience:
• Previous coaching experience at the high school level or higher is required.
• Knowledge of softball techniques, rules, and strategies.
• Proven track record of developing and improving athletic programs. - Skills and Abilities:
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches, staff, and school administrators.
• Commitment to upholding the values and mission of Immaculate Heart High School. - August through May
- High School diploma or GED
- Prior high school coaching experience in club and/or high school softball
- Must be dedicated, enthusiastic, committed and passionate about softball
- Good communication and organizational skills

Immaculate Heart High School, a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls in grades 9 through 12, located in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, California seeks a dynamic and experienced Varsity Softball Coach to lead our high school softball program.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the sport, a commitment to developing student-athletes, and the ability to elevate our program to new heights. The coach will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the softball program, including Fall Ball, regular season, and post-season play.
