    Role Overview

    As the Impact Partnerships Manager, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating and managing partnerships that align with US Solar's mission and goals. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including non-profit organizations, community action groups, public entities, community leaders and businesses to advance US Solar's community engagement strategy and subscription efforts across several markets.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute community engagement strategy for new markets
    • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with community leaders, nonprofit organizations, businesses and government agencies to support US Solar's subscription and community engagement initiatives
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement partnership strategies that drive positive impact and advance our organizational goals
    • Lead outreach efforts to engage potential partners and stakeholders in key growth areas such as low-to-moderate income and public housing, including proposal development, conducting presentations, networking events, pitching and agreement negotiations
    • Manage the entire partnership lifecycle, from initial outreach and negotiation to contract development, implementation and ongoing relationship management
    • Manage and track progress towards community engagement goals and subscription goals
    • Collaborate with commercial and residential origination, marketing, and project development teams
    • Track and report on partnership and community impact metrics, including donations
    • Periodic travel to high priority markets will be involved in this role

    Core Proficiencies:

    • Strong execution skills, with attention to detail, organizational skills and proven record of success
    • Proven track record of developing and managing strategic partnerships
    • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Developing product offering and delivering proposals which clearly demonstrate the value proposition to
    • Ability to take initiative and be proactive in partnership creation
    • Self-motivated and results oriented with a passion for driving positive social and environmental change
    • Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Competent and comfortable leading external partnership conversations and negotiations
    • Effective working individually as well as with a team
    • Able to react quickly and problem solve in a quickly changing environment, with limited procedures in place

    Requirements:

    • 3-5 years of demonstratable partnership management, community engagement or related experience in the sustainability, nonprofit, or renewable energy space
    • Experience with local or federal Energy Assistance Programs (ex. LIHEAP)
    • Proficiency with corporate ESG, community-led community engagement approaches, donation strategy
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field
    • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
    • Knowledge of and passion for the solar marketplace, renewable energy, ESG initiatives and increasing access to renewable solutions for all
    • Knowledge of UN Sustainable Development Goals, "low-to-moderate income" renewable energy outreach initiatives and the solar marketplace is desirable
