    Summary/Objective

    The Materials Manager is responsible for direct oversight and leadership of the Planning department and reports to the VP of Supply Chain.

    This role interfaces with several functional teams across the organization, establishes processes and makes decisions that impact operational efficiencies, internal costs, and customer on-time delivery performance (OTIF).

    The Materials Manager leads all Capacity Planning and Sales & Operations Planning processes, identifies manufacturing constraints/bottlenecks and develops strategies to mitigate these constraints that enables Anomatic to deliver industry leading OTIF performance for our customers.

    This position proactively monitors schedule attainment to identify potential challenges and creates solutions to ensure on-time delivery to customers while balancing internal operational cost targets.

    Essential Functions

    Oversee processes to plan, schedule, coordinate, and approve release of production orders to all manufacturing departments in compliance with established SOP's and based on material availability and manufacturing constraints.

    Lead internal Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes utilizing customer forecasts to establish an operations plan that meets customer lead time expectations, optimizes Inventory Turns and operational efficiencies, and mitigates internal bottlenecks.

    Develop internal stocking strategies to support aggressive customer lead time commitments, while minimizing slow-moving/excess inventories.
    Lead capacity planning analysis for all operational departments. Effectively communicate potential bottlenecks to leadership and develop proposals to mitigate constraints. Translate proposals into operational plans and provide clear direction to affected teams. As requested, provide capacity summaries to Sales and customers during risk mitigation analysis.

    Serve as a subject matter expert for manufacturing ERP software (Syteline) and other tools that support production & materials planning, capacity planning, and operational management.

    Ensure Planners communicate proactively with internal teams to adjust production schedules in the event of labor and material shortages, schedule constraints, and any other schedule interruptions.

    Ensure purchased materials from suppliers are ordered, shipped, and delivered in time to support production schedules and customer OTIF targets.

    Address all supplier delivery performance failures proactively to minimize disruptions to production schedules, escalating critical supply issues to leadership as needed.

    Establish material planning and scheduling parameters to meet Inventory Turns goal. Identify inventory reduction opportunities and take actions to implement.
    Track and analyze data to identify, develop, and deliver continuous improvement opportunities to support production, planning, and business processes. Present conclusions and recommendations to leadership as requested.
    Education and Experience

    Requires 5-10 years of detailed scheduling, material planning, and forecasting experience in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing environment.
    Extensive knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems is required (Syteline experience a plus).

    Strong organization skills with ability to interpret multiple data inputs simultaneously, synthesize the information quickly, make data-driven decisions, and clearly communicate to stakeholders.

    Ability to manage competing objectives effectively and make decisions that deliver the best overall business results for Anomatic.

    Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc).
    Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred.

    Salary Information:
    Salary range is $88,100 - $115,000, depending on experience. This role is also eligible for our incentive bonus program.

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smart phones.
    Hours of Work
    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., however, evening and weekend work may be required as business needs demand.
    Travel
    Limited travel, mostly between manufacturing sites in the Columbus/Newark/Blacklick areas.
