    The noninvasive cardiology supervisor will provide supervision of the EKG department ensuring superior patient care/outcomes, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and the delivery of cost effective services. The direct focus of the position is to maintain effective workflow coordination, proper staffing level, sufficient supply resources, and a positive work environment.

    Performs routine duties of a noninvasive cardiovascular technician in considering the special, physical, psychological, and age-related needs of the patient. Maintains direct supervision of noninvasive cardiology staff. Direct supervision of radiology students while in department. Indirect supervision of orderlies to coordinate patient flow.

    Responsibilities
    • Provides for appropriate patient care, safety, education, and a favorable customer service experience during procedures.
    • Performs EKG's and more advanced noninvasive cardiovascular exams with the appropriate technical skills and according to the established procedure protocols. This will include Holter monitoring & scanning, Tilt table studies, and cardiac stress testing in Nuclear Medicine.
    • Maintains appropriate documentation of patient records, especially in the MUSE System (computer system), to meet operating standards, corporate compliance practices, and/or regulatory and accreditation requirements.
    • Performs other related operational duties as needed including, but not limited to, transporting patients, office/clerical functions, equipment troubleshooting, maintaining supplies in rooms, and cleaning EKG equipment.
    • Coordinates daily operation and workflow to achieve optimal efficiency and cost effectiveness while delivering superior services. This includes coordinating cardiologists and PAs workflow in the noninvasive cardiology department.
    • Ensures quality noninvasive cardiovascular exams are performed and submitted to cardiologists with accurate medical records that are in accordance with corporate compliance policies.
    Qualifications

    Education/Experience
    • Successful completion of high school or has a high school equivalency diploma.
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a noninvasive cariology technician
    • Supervisory experience preferred.
    • CPT coding experience with noninvasive cardiovascular procedures preferred.
    Skills/Abilities
    • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, staff, physicians, and occasionally students.
    • Ability to provide excellent customer service to a variety of people.
    • Ability to promote and work in a team setting.

    Salary Range
    The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $19.28 to $28.93 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
