    Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)

    The Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) functions as an advanced practitioner providing healthcare for a caseload of patients in the area of clinical specialization. The CRNP must demonstrate proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, contribute to the nursing assessment and care plan and participate in the evaluation of nursing care. Examines and treats patients independently and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals following established standards and practices. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Relies on education, experience, professional training and judgment to accomplish responsibilities. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Works under minimal supervision under the direction of the collaborating physician, as appropriate. May lead and/or direct the work of others within the scope of practice.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and Training: Master's degree with Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification from an accredited program. Current Active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)/Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state where hospital resides. Current ACLS and Healthcare Provider/BLS certifications required. Current national certification with an accredited testing organization.

    Experience: Minimum 3 years of acute experience preferred.
