- Conduct training, including new hire orientation and safety meetings.
- Monitor all heavy industrial construction work for compliance with safety requirements.
- Certification as a Safety Professional or Emergency Medical Technician is also desired.
- Embody the Kiewit approach to safety, being constantly aware of conditions and work practices, being empowered to stop all unsafe work when needed.
- 10 years of experience in heavy industry construction safety practices
- 5 years in transportation construction under operating conditions preferred
- OSHA Construction Safety Training
- First Aid/CPR/Blood Borne Pathogens Training
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Degreed Safety Professional
- Willingness to relocate to project sites across the USA and/or Canada for an extended period of time
- Must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management while simultaneously manage a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively.
- Regularly sit, stand, walk and talk and listen
- Occasionally lift and move objects up to 30 pounds.
