    Sr. Applications Support Engineer

    We are currently seeking a

    Sr. Applications Support Engineer


    to join our team This position is responsible for deploying and supporting enterprise-level production and pre-production applications including configuration, monitoring, and security of both commercial and custom developed applications.

    This position will work and collaborate directly with internal business customers as well as with members of the Helpdesk, Infrastructure and Development teams.


    Responsibilities:
    Administer Enterprise Applications across the organization

    Orchestrate and automate batch processing

    Support line of business and third-party application deployments, updates, and upgrades

    Work with business partners and external vendors to identify requirements for new applications

    Configure, maintain, and monitor application integrations, as well as, external organization connectivity, data transformations/transmissions while ensuring data integrity and reliability

    Manage security requests and oversee periodic security access review of critical business and financial systems

    Monitor application performance and connectivity; tuning and adjusting to optimize environments, troubleshooting issues for root-cause, and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve problems

    Configure and support authentication methods and single sign-on (SSO) for application access control

    Create and maintain documentation related to software applications, including user guides, system architecture diagrams, process flows, and the configuration knowledge base

    Mentor and coach other team members to enhance skills, cross-train , encourage professional growth, and to promote a collaborative working environment

    Conduct training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to both technical and business stakeholders

    Develop a functional understanding of the workers compensation insurance domain


    Your qualifications should include:
    Minimum 6 years of recent experience in a Systems or Application administration role

    Proven experience with a programming or scripting language to automate business processes, e.g., Powershell, Python, Groovy,

    Extensive experience with Microsoft Ecosystem, e.g., Azure, Azure AD, Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365 Administration, Power Automate, IIS, SQL Server, SharePoint, and OneDrive

    Strong understanding of application security controls and measures including Access Control (including authentication mechanisms) and Encryption (including working with Certificate Authorities & certificates)

    Experience with automating secure file transmissions (e.g., SFTP)

    Experience working with different APIs such as RESTful, SOAP, etc.

    Competence in Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems, including Windows batch scripting and Linux shell scripting

    Functional knowledge of Database Operations such as SQL, Oracle DB, etc. and pertinent query languages

    Knowledge of Performance Monitoring Tools e.g., JConsole, Solarwinds, LogicMonitor, Prometheus, Grafana

    Working knowledge of web services e.g., IIS, JBoss, Tomcat, etc., including load balancers e.g., F5, NGINX

    Experience with Cloud environments and SaaS solutions

    Familiarity with revision control systems in a collaborative environment

    Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet, Salt

    Direct experience with the following Atlassian Products Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Service Manager is a plus
