- Manage civilian and military jobsites to include inventory and control of material, manage access and work schedule with owners and superintendents, and supervise other workers assigned to the job.
- Using engineered drawings & job specifications, selects type and size of pipe, and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to plans and specifications.
- Inspects work site to determine presence of obstructions and to ascertain that holes cut for pipe will not cause structural weakness.
- Plans installation or repair to avoid obstructions and to avoid interfering with activities of other workers.
- Cuts, threads, and grooves pipe.
- Assembles and installs variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper, and plastic.
- Connects pipes, using threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints.
- Secures pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers.
- Installs and maintains hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment such as pumps and cylinders.
- Installs and maintains sprinkler systems, including compressors, pumps, meters, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and piping.
- Increases pressure in pipe system and observes connected pressure gauge to test system for leaks.
- Operates system valves to verify correct operation.
- Maintains a secure project site for equipment, tools and materials.
- Oversees worker safety.
- Assists with project quotations, participates in jobsite walks.
- Reviews crew timesheets for correctness
- Keeps project on-schedule and on-budget.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This position will supervise pipe fitters and other support crew on the jobsite.
- Travel - Must be able to travel regionally up to 80% of the time.
- Possess or obtain valid New Mexico Driver's License (Real ID Qualified) prior to start date.

- PC and smartphone literate, MS office basic skills.
