HDR is seeking to hire an Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team in Orlando, Florida.

Our team is looking for a candidate to meet the needs of our diverse client base including Water/Wastewater, Healthcare, Science and Technology, Federal, Industrial, Mission Critical and Commercial projects.

We have a team with diverse experience and are actively seeking candidates with experience within one or more of the markets we serve.

This individual should also have a desire to mentor and train younger electrical engineers.
Primary ResponsibilitiesAs an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing projects from start to finish.

This will include coordinating and working closely with clients, project managers, electrical team members, architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, marketing members, and all other team members.

You will be responsible for developing construction documents, specifications, engineering calculations, and performing RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, site investigation and overall construction administration.

Additional responsibilities include:

Provide detailed design and coordination of facilities with team membersPrepare construction documents with BIM/CADD platformsEdit and prepare design specificationsPerform QA/QC review of construction documents and technical reportsSelect equipment using vendor software and communicate with sales repsPerform load calculationsAttend design meetings with other team membersProvide construction administration service throughout all phases of constructionSome travel will be required*LI-JS6QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplinePE LicenseMust have experience in designing lighting and electrical systems for various types of buildings including one or more of the following: water/wastewater, healthcare, laboratory facilities, federal, utility, mission critical, and commercial office facilities.
