- Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure environment for the classroom children.
- Adhere & Support the director's processes.
- Work in partnership with classroom teacher(s).
- Ensure staff team adheres to policy & procedures.
- Supervise children at ALL times.
- Facilitate play by Engaging and Interacting in all learning.
- Communicate with children in a grammatically and appropriate manner by using a positive, pleasant tone and appropriate volume.
- Observe children's milestone development quarterly following center determined system.
- Create weekly age-appropriate lesson plans according to NAEYC Standards.
- Greets each child and parent upon arrival at the center.
- ABILITY to manage classroom.
- ABILITY to identify and respond to a crisis immediately.
- ABILITY to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Collaboratively work with Teacher(s) to develop STEAM projects.
- Organize the classroom to support the goals of the program.
- Maintain minimal housekeeping chores.
- Light janitorial maintenance work.
- Ability to walk around the neighborhood/park, bend, stand, and sit on the floor (with the children).
