    **Description**

    Kawasaki Precision Machinery, (U.S.A.), Inc., headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI and a division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., has an immediate opening for a Sales Coordinator. This key role is a full-time position and eligible for a full benefits package which includes a 401K with immediate vesting.     **Summary**

    The Sales Coordinator role is responsible for order fulfillment activities for assigned OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) & Distributors. Order fulfillment activities include inside sales, forecasting, quoting, order processing & delivery control. This role will require a knowledge of Kawasakis customer service policies, and well-trained in product knowledge which is critical for offering quick and accurate assistance to customers.

    **Responsibilities**

    Request parts volume information from customers and prepare a 6-18 month rolling forecast on a monthly basis.

    Able to listen to customer service issues and offer an innovative solution to each problem.

    Present forecasts to leadership & Sales Managers on a regular basis.

    Respond to customers requests for quotations

    Update customer information in the customer service database (CRM) as needed

    Have a general understanding of how to read product specifications in company literature

    Assist with requesting customer forecasts on a monthly basis. This information is then used by Purchasing to prepare an inventory plan to meet customers delivery expectations.

    + With oversight continuously review and adjust inventory mix considering key factors including dynamic customer forecasts, sales history, target inventory levels, and internal use by the within NSC (National Service Center).

    Order processing & delivery

    + Process customer purchase orders

    + Determine order fill strategy from current stock, factory lead time or conversion by NSC.

    + Confirm order terms such as price & delivery with customers. Process order and expedite if necessary.

    + Notify Sales Managers about notable new orders and potential delivery problems.

    Assist Sales Managers in preparing monthly sales reports.

    **Education and Experience**

    High school diploma or GED required.

    4+ years experience interacting and serving customers directly, preferable in a corporate environment.

    Able to successfully build strong customer relationships.

    Knowledge of P21 or ERP system.

    Have an understanding of Kawasaki Precision Machinerys product line.

    Strong attention to detail, able to multi-task, excellent verbal and written communication skills
