    The Mission

    This position supports the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).

    Under the I2TS 3 task order, INSCOM ensures reliable, uninterrupted availability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) including: networks, hardware, software, engineering, and specialized tools at the point of customer need to support INSCOM's mission.

    INSCOM and its MSCs provide the enabling layer to connect the Army and its tactical formations to defense and national intelligence agencies via tactical networks.

    The ability to provide mission critical intelligence is dependent on the successful use of its information technology (IT) networks worldwide.

    We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our Team immediately for a position as a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in virtualization.

    This individual will be responsible for leading virtualization initiatives utilizing VMWare and Hyper-V technologies.

    The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in virtualization technologies and a proven track record of successfully implementing and managing complex virtualized environments.


    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
    Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of virtualization solutions using VMWare and Hyper-V technologies.
    Architect virtualization infrastructure to meet customer requirements for performance, availability, and scalability.
    Develop and implement best practices for virtualization management, monitoring, and optimization.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate virtualization solutions into existing systems and infrastructure.
    Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on virtualization best practices and troubleshooting methodologies.
    Evaluate new virtualization technologies and tools to enhance system performance and efficiency.
    Perform capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure optimal utilization of virtualized resources.
    Troubleshoot complex virtualization issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and improve system reliability.
    Perform all remediation actions for compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and vulnerability scan violations.

    Utilize expertise in Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) and Cisco Intersight to seamlessly integrate with virtualization platforms (VMWare vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V).

    Ensure the efficient deployment, management, and optimization of virtualized workloads within the data center infrastructure.


    Qualifications/Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
    Proficiency in VMWare and Hyper-V technologies is required.
    Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, including hypervisor architecture, resource management, and virtual networking.
    Experience with virtualization management tools such as vCenter, Hyper-V Manager, and System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM).
    Experience performing all remediation actions for compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and vulnerability scan violations.
    Experience with Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) and/or Cisco Intersight.
    Solid understanding of storage technologies and their integration with virtualization platforms.
    Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex virtualization issues.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.


    Education:


    High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate's Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer with a focus on virtualization.


    Certification(s):
    DoD M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract

    Required Security Environment Certification:
    CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent

    Require One of the following Certifications:
    VMware Certified Professional - Desktop Management 2023 (VCP-DTM 2023)

    Microsoft Certified:
    Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    Citrix Certified Professional in Virtualization (1Y0-204)
    Nutanix Certified Professional - Multicloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI)

    Microsoft Exam AZ-140:
    Configuring and Operating Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop
    Microsoft Exam SC-300: Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator
    EX200 Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)


    Location:
    On customer site (Fort Liberty/Fayetteville, NC)


    Security Clearance:
    TS/SCI required
    Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
