Aegis is partnering with an OEM Manufacturing/Engineering company in the Chicago land area looking for a Purchasing Manager to come join their team They are located near Franklin Park, IL.

Salary Range: 75k – 85k

Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm-onsite

Responsibilities:

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for collaborating closely with the warehouse, sales, engineering, and purchasing teams to meet supply chain and sourcing needs effectively. They will be responsible for managing crucial supplier relationships and ensuring clear communication of needs and expectations. Additionally, the role involves developing and supervising inventory management processes to expedite order fulfillment, enhance cash flow, mitigate risks, and facilitate in-house production.

Ideal Experience

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of work-related experience in a supply chain, procurement, or materials management role.
• Experience working for an OEM or Custom product manufacturer.
• Knowledge of purchasing, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Data-driven, fact-based, meticulous approach to analysis and problem solving.
• Strong project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Outlook. Experience with business ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
