    Overview

    We are seeking a full-timeSite Reliability Engineer for our Marine Cloud Teamin our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will ensures the integrity of Garmin's production environment is maintained and that all releases into the environment are well-organized, communicated, and managed. Build out and maintain the Marine Azure Cloud infrastructure while supporting the Engineering team's needs

    Essential Functions

    • Lead process improvements in our application lifecycle and release process
    • Establish and provide training to development teams on operational process and automations that promote the software integrity and stability
    • Lead design/definition activities for moderate- and high-complexity systems, features, and/or process
    • Coordinate and improve monitoring practices across software applications and infrastructure
    • Champion the shift-left culture of reliability and delivery performance within software development teams
    • Monitor and support moderate- and high-complexity software releases
    • Cultivate a healthy culture of post-incident activities throughout the organization

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineeringor related fieldANDa minimum of 1 year relevant experienceORan equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
    • Demonstrates proficiency supporting moderately complex Linux and/or Windows based server installations based on environment
    • Demonstrates proficiency with Linux and/or Windows based scripting
    • Demonstrates knowledge and experience working with version control system such as GIT / Subversion
    • Demonstrates proficient knowledge of analysis, design and configuration of complex multi-tiered server applications
    • Demonstrates proficient familiarity with SDLC, Quality Standards, and Best Practices

    Desired Qualifications

    • Experience with scaling cloud native applications in large, high-availability environments
    • Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Bicep, Ansible, Terraform, Salt, Chef, Puppet
    • Experience with CDN Providers such as Akamai/Cloudflare
    • Experience with observability tools such as Uptrends, Splunk, Kibana
    • Experience with messaging technologies such as Rabbit

      MQ, Kafka
    • Experience with data storage technologies such as SQL databases, Azure Data Lake, Document Storage or No

      SQL databases like Azure Cosmos
