    Job Title:
    Maintenance Technician
    Revision Date:03/03/2022Job SummaryThe Maintenance Technician works independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventive, predictive and routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and building fully operational

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Perform needed maintenance on equipment and direct support of production operating needs.

    Evaluate equipment operation and suggest necessary action when malfunctions occur, or improvements are neededParticipate in planning activities and manage various plant utilities that can include chiller, air compressor, security system fire protection system.

    Complete process and preventive maintenance work orders. Capture and communicate associated data.
    Maintain plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, hydraulics, motors, pneumatics, automated controls, and pumps.
    Troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment.
    Develop knowledge of electrical and PLC troubleshooting.
    Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed.

    Set up and operate power tools, drill motor, circular saw, welders, drill press, bench grinder, band saw, hand tools and other metal working equipmentAssist with fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.

    Comply and participate regulatory, Carlisle, departmental policies, procedures, standards (PSM, safety protocols, COS).As directed execute projects on an as needed basis.

    Other duties as assigned.


    Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
    Ability to read and interpret industrial documents and electrical drawings.
    Industrial mechanical troubleshooting skills.
    Ability to repair/rebuild industrial machinery such as motors, compressors, pumps, gear boxes, hydraulics, etc.
    Knowledge of CMMS, SAP, SAPi, MS programs.
    Demonstrated ability to utilize hand tools (shop tools)Ability to fabricate/weld.

    Awareness of PLCs, low and high electrical voltage, and 24 VDC - 480 VAC.Inter-Personnel Skills - Including the ability to be a team player.

    The ability to pass on information training to others.
    Understanding of OSHA and industrial safety protocols.
    Safety certifications.
    Ability to operate mobile equipment safely.
