    SecretLevel of Experience: SeniorJob DescriptionMission Technologies a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of a Database Administrator for their Advanced Modeling and Simulation Technical Operation.

    This person is responsible for administration, maintenance, and tuning of all Navy's Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) database architecture used to support the development, testing, and delivery of enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications and services.

    Essential Job ResponsibilitiesAuthoring Standard Operating Procedures and process documentation Perform risk management to minimize project risks Experience with Microsoft Windows 10, Server 2016 and 2019 Experience administering MS SQL , including securing (using DISA STIGs) and upgrading Experience backing up and restoring MS SQL Databases Experience working in Virtualized environments (i.e., VMware) Experience with Active Directory Experience with RHEL 7/8 and other database technologies preferred Experienced with help desk troubleshooting protocols Experienced resolving basic technical issues by providing scriptedguidance regarding software and hardware problems Experience resolving more complex technical problems through a definedescalation process Experience with upgrades, migrations and integration Strong customer focus, including the ability to manage customer needs andmultiple work priorities Experience installing release upgrades Must be able to lift at least 50lbs Experience working in a government contracting environment Solid organizational skills including attention to detail Self-motivated and driven desire to succeed with minimal direction Ability to work both in a team and individually Excellent written and verbal communication skillMinimum Qualifications6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.

    Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquelyapplicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.
