- Conduct lab tests following procedures and policies while meeting quality standards.
- Prepare reagents and manage inventory to minimize waste.
- Use clinical judgment to prioritize tasks and troubleshoot test systems.
- Assist in updating procedures and documentation for accreditation compliance.
- Maintain clear communication with colleagues and leadership on matters affecting patient care and department workflow.
- Participate in implementing changes, including competency assessment programs.
- Work in a fast-paced clinical setting with biohazardous materials and other risks.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Associate or bachelor's degree.
- MLT, MT, or MLS certification (ASCP or AMT) required within one year of employment.
- Experience in a clinical lab, specifically in Blood Bank.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards for accreditation.
