    Title: Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist - Royalton, Vermont School Year)

    Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the school year in Royalton, Vermont.     Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, utilizing a variety of standardized and non-standardized assessment tools.
    2. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with communication disorders, outlining appropriate goals, objectives, and intervention strategies.
    3. Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, using evidence-based practices and innovative techniques tailored to each student's needs.
    4. Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate speech and language goals into the overall educational program and promote generalization of skills across environments.
    5. Monitor students' progress regularly, collect data on treatment outcomes, and adjust intervention plans as needed to maximize student growth and achievement.
    6. Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP meetings and case conferences, to contribute expertise, provide updates on student progress, and collaborate on service delivery.
    7. Provide consultation and training to school personnel on strategies for supporting students with communication needs in the classroom, including the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and assistive technology.
    8. Stay informed about current research, best practices, and legislative requirements in the field of speech-language pathology, and integrate this knowledge into service delivery and professional development activities.
    9. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided, including progress notes, assessment reports, and billing records, in compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
    10. Foster positive relationships with students, families, and community stakeholders, advocating for the communication needs of students and promoting understanding and acceptance of diversity.

    Qualifications:

    1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
    2. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility for certification.
    3. Valid Vermont state license or ability to obtain licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
    4. Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting, is preferred.
    5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, families, and community members.
    6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
    7. Knowledge of assessment tools, intervention techniques, and assistive technology commonly used in speech-language pathology.
    8. Commitment to cultural competence and the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
    9. Flexible, adaptable, and able to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic educational environment.
