    Gallagher-Kaiser's Kais-AIR Division is a leader in the design, engineering, fabrication, installation, and service of modular industrial equipment. Providing a variety of modular custom and specialty air handling equipment, data centers, battery energy storage systems, modular operating theaters and more; we collaborate closely with our Kaiser Enterprise family of companies for this work. Kais-AIR recently received an exclusive license from UK-based BRG to design, fabricate and install data centers in North America establishing a unique and exclusive partnership.

    We are hiring a talented and motivated technician to join our collaborative data center team to champion preventive maintenance for current sites and deployment of new builds. This person will work closely with the team to understand the Tridium-Niagara based control system and operational sequencing along with the mechanical/electrical make-up of our builds to efficiently support our customer base.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Establish and maintain working relationships with customers and vendors to assure efficient and prompt work execution.
    • Understand engineering concepts and documentation for new projects through manufacturing to field installation.
    • Understand and support component setup/checkout, operational sequence, and internal/external documentation deliverables for new projects through build, commissioning, and field deployment.
    • Perform preventative maintenance tasks with thorough systems understanding to assure customer systems properly maintained.
    • Requires skill with analyzing possible control system malfunctions and determining appropriate repairs within critical atmosphere. Examples include troubleshooting system control components, field devices, sensor wiring, general input/output wiring and network/communication wiring/configuration.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Working knowledge and advanced abilities in use of PC and software (Basic and Automation).
    • Knowledge of control theory, sequencing, applications, and components.
    • Ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot equipment within Critical facility environment and procedures.
    • Effectively manage time and stay organized.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills.
    • Strong written communication skills with keen eye for detail.
    • Must be able to read engineered drawings (Mechanical/Electrical/Controls).
    • Work independently without much supervision.

    Position Type:

    • Able to travel often to multiple customer locations.

    Preferred Credentials/Experience:

    • Engineering bachelors degree
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Building Automation Programming/Integration experience [Tridium-Niagara Platform]
    • Mechanical/Electrical Systems experience
