    Job Summary
    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Criminal Defense Practice Group of our Firm as a Summer Clerk. This internship offers a unique learning experience in a dynamic legal environment.

    The Criminal Defense Summer Clerk is a full-time position, and Clerk should expect to work Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 9am-6pm. Clerks should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the Price Benowitz workday.

    This position is in-office in our DC location, beginning in May 2024 and ending in August 2024, or later if desired.

    Responsibilities and Duties
    • Undertake research projects assigned by members of the Legal Department.
    • Assist in organizing and maintaining legal records and documentation.
    • Collaborate with paralegals and attorneys to support ongoing cases.
    • Analyze and summarize legal documents, statutes, and regulations.
    • Prepare memos, reports, and presentations based on research findings.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement.
    Qualifications and Skills
    • 2L or 3L law student enrolled in an ABA accredited law school.
    • Strong interest and/or background in criminal defense law.
    • Strong research skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information effectively.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrates initiative, organizational and time management skills.
