    POSITIONFixed Income Portfolio Specialist 1 (FIPS-1) are value add members of the investment teams.

    FIPS-1 are responsible for working with senior members of the team to help to develop and grow the AUM/revenue of their respective team by ensuring that their team's products are aligned with each distribution channel; creating content to support the team's products; directly marketing to internal constituents and external clients; and assisting the PMs with the business and financial management of their team.

    This role will support the Plus Fixed Income team.

    RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop expert level product knowledge with ability to clearly articulate and market portfolio strategies to internal constituents and external clients.

    Develop and deliver high impact presentation decks for various Plus Fixed Income products.
    Manage RFP process for Plus Fixed Income team and write quarterly/monthly commentaries for respective strategies.
    Coordinate development of thought leadership pieces and other client materials.
    Use the firm's different communication channels to help promote the Plus team's products/brand and maximize the team's messaging impact.
    Participate in investment strategy meetings with investment team.
    Help prepare and participate in finals presentations, consultant meetings, etc.

    Provide clients, prospects, and consultants with ongoing updates regarding the investment philosophy, process, and performance of portfoliosCoordinate the team's content schedule with Marketing to ensure timely and efficient production.

    Help deliver a quarterly performance scorecard for the team.

    CANDIDATEThe candidate should be a dynamic individual that can work in a fast-paced role that interfaces with a wide range of constituents, including senior portfolio managers, analysts, internal sales people and external clients.

    The candidate should have very strong interpersonal skills, be quantitatively competent, analytically rigorous, and able to write with a flair.

    In addition, this person should have a keen interest in investment management with some understanding of the fixed income markets.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBA/BS or equivalent. An emphasis in finance, economics or quantitative/analytical field preferred.1+ years of investment management experience.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS3-5+ years of financial services experience.
    Successful experience in fixed income and bond markets.
    Superior verbal and written communication skills.

    Experience leveraging multimedia tools to create investment views and opinions for diverse audiences including creating PowerPoint presentations, charts and graphs for investment clients.

    Quantitative skills across a variety of data management systems.
    Understanding of investment products, operations, and servicing requirements.
    Experience in communicating with institutional investors, consultants and/or internal sales.
    Familiarity or proficiency in use of Bloomberg, Charles River and/or Factset.
    An understanding of investments or client portfolio reporting.
    Strong independent thinking skills, demonstrated problem solving skills.
    Demonstrate flexibility, communication, teamwork, and leadership across all levels of interactions.
