Description

Conducts Neurodiagnostic testing which includes:
EEG, EMG, nerve conductions, evoked potentials and 24 hour ambulatory EEG. Assists with EKG exams. Prepares patients and conducts various neurodiagnostic examinations and collects information pertinent to the interpretation of the tests.

High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent, with courses in physical sciences. Additional courses in anatomy, physiology and neurology are preferred. The capacity to deal with severely ill and pediatric patients. CPR certified.

Accredited certification in Neurodiagnostic Technician Training or a minimum of one year experience is preferred. For those without certification or experience a one year maximum apprenticeship in Neurodiagnostics is required. Must be able to work independently at the completion of the apprenticeship.
