Job description

Basic Function

Conducts complex and advanced HRIS duties and assignments for the Human Resources (HR) Department under limited supervision. Analyzes, maintains, and evaluates the HRIS for the Company. Monitors system performance, end-user activities, data integrity and interfaces to other systems with IT and third party vendors to resolve problems. Provides system expertise, direction and training for team members as well as end users

Job Duties

  • Leads HRIS implementations and enhancement projects as assigned by Manager
  • Serves as an HRIS subject matter expert
  • Researches, identifies, recommends, and implements system and process improvements including areas where data accuracy and efficiency can be improved
  • Identifies data integrity issues through regular auditing and analyzes data flows for process improvement opportunities
  • Maintains high levels of quality, accuracy and usability of data and related interfaces
  • Develops and designs enhancements requiring analysis, specifications, documentation, and training plans for end users
  • Gathers requirements and provides analysis, testing, coordination of user acceptance testing, and implementation of enhancements, system fixes, interfaces, and conversions
  • Reviews new requests for enhancements in collaboration with IT and 3rd party vendor and ensures the requests and system changes are consistent with the HRIS strategies, are optimal business and system practices as well as the appropriate technology available
  • Provides supplemental training development and classroom delivery to the end users
  • Plans, coordinates, tests and validates support pack and enhancement pack implementations
  • Maintains, coordinates, and analyzes organizational and position management in SAP Organizational Management (OM) and Personnel Administration (PA) modules in support of the Company with proper approval
  • Develops ad-hoc reports and queries for end users and liaises with IT on custom requests
  • Troubleshoots end-user issues in HRIS modules and interfaces, and corrects errors while providing guidance and training to the end user. Conducts root cause analysis of reoccurring issues
  • Prepares, coordinates and liaises with IT on bulk data loads to SAP PA and/or OM for projects and annual administration
  • Liaises with IT on system maintenance and troubleshooting including interface functionality and enhancements
  • Liaises with IT and Internal Audit on system security audits and validation
  • Creates organization charts in SAP and org charting tool upon request and posts to Company intranet on regular basis
  • Assists with on-going maintenance of a variety of HR content on the Company intranet
  • Codes invoices as needed
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their manager, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion

Experience

A minimum of seven years of work experience analyzing, maintaining, and implementing SAP HCM modules required

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field or equivalent related work experience in lieu of the degree (four years) is required

Required Skills

Experience with various SAP HCM modules including but not limited to PA, OM, MSS, ESS, and Payroll. Senior-level power user HRIS experience and knowledge required in implementations, enhancements, system improvements, and testing. Knowledge in HR principles and the ability to analyze and apply this knowledge as it pertains to the Company and HRIS. Solid computer skills, including advanced skill level in MS Excel and other reporting tools such as standard system reports and Business Intelligence (BI) with demonstrated experience using MS Excel's v-lookup and pivot table functions as well as the ability to multi-task, function productively with ambiguity and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as a team player. Excellent customer service, negotiations, and organizational skills. Self-starter with drive and ability to achieve planned objectives. Advanced ability to summarize data and information for concise communication with all levels of management, and manage/lead projects and assignments with extreme accuracy and efficiency. Proficient with database and word processing applications; strong reading skills; ability to effectively communicate with others, both in writing and verbally; strong critical thinking and analytical skills, problem solving and decision making skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work independently and perform intermediate level mathematical calculations. Ability to handle confidential information including Protected Health Information (PHI) and all applicable compliance issues in relation to relevant HIPAA regulations. PREFERRED SKILLS: Org Publisher software experience. ADP Reportsmith reporting tool experience. BEX analyzer hands on experience

Work Conditions

Office based with travel up to 20% of the time required by land or air. Subject to varying road and weather conditions. Occasional long hours, as well as nights and weekends as needed

Salary Range: The salary range includes the minimum, midpoint, and maximum base salary values. A candidate's offer can vary depending on differentiating factors, including but not limited to education, training, or experience.

This position has a salary minimum of $20,000.00, midpoint of $100,000.00, and maximum of $180,000.00.
