- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or Nurse Practitioner Program
- Current Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or for Advanced Practice Nurses a current Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and Registered Nurse First Assist (RFNA) certification.
- Hold a valid, current New Jersey license.
- Obtain a New Jersey CDS and federal DEA certificate upon employment if not already covered.
- BCLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience in the Operating Room functioning as the First Assist
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience
- Participation in pertinent professional and/or specialty organizations preferred. First assist experience required.
- Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving.
