    Summary This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management.

    As a Supervisory Equal Opportunity Specialist, you will establish initiatives to effect organizational and cultural changes that support diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) for customers, develop corresponding DEIA-related policies and innovative approaches to execute DEIA initiatives, and respond to DEIA-related reporting requirements.

    Responsibilities As a Supervisory Equal Opportunity Specialist, you will:

    Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of proactive and comprehensive DEIA initiatives in support of BEP's goal to establish, maintain and sustain programs, services, products, and other operations that incorporate DEIA requirements for external customers.

    Implement, track, evaluate, and report BEP's initiatives in compliance with the requirements under Executive Order 13166, Improving Access to Services for Persons with Limited English Proficiency, and the Department of the Treasury's (Treasury) DEIA-016, Providing Language Access to Limited English Proficient Individuals; establish corresponding policies and partnerships; and lead OEODM's efforts to engage relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and timely execution of BEP's Language Access Plan.

    Implement, track, evaluate, and report BEP's initiatives in compliance with the requirements under Executive Order 13988, Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation and Executive Order 14020, Establishment of the White House Gender Policy Council, and Treasury's DEIA-002, Equal Treatment Based on Gender Identity, and DEIA-015, Inclusive Language Policy and Guidance; establish BEP's policies and operational activities as to comply with the Executive Orders and Treasury's policies; and lead OEODM's efforts to engage relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and timely execution of BEP's plan to provide safe facilities and equitable access to customers and employees from Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer or Questioning (LBGTQ+) community.

    Establish, execute, and report BEP's efforts as required under Executive Order 13985, Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government; Executive Order 14031, Executive Order on Advancing Equity, Justice, and Opportunity for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders; Executive Order 14035, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility in the Federal Workforce; Executive Order 14045, White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Hispanics; Executive Order 14050, White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Black Americans.

    Provide policy guidance and technical assistance and process discrimination complaints based on Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Age Discrimination Act of 1975, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Executive Orders 13166, Improving Access to Services for Persons with Limited English Proficiency, and Executive Order 13160, Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Race, Sex, Color, National Origin, Disability, Religion, Age, Sexual Orientation, and Status as a Parent in Federally Conducted Education and Training Programs.


    Requirements Conditions of Employment Requirements:

    National SUITABILITY, CLEARANCE & REQUIREMENTS:
    A background investigation will be required for all new hires. Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background investigation and favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for disqualification in the hiring process. The background investigation process conducted by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing is very thorough.

    Qualifications You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.


    Specialized experience for this position includes experience:

    Implementing and monitoring DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility) goals and objectives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements; AND Establishing strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to implement DEIA goals; AND Providing reports on the status and execution of DEIA goals and objectives.

    In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.


    Education Additional Information OTHER INFORMATION:
    We may select from this announcement or any other source to fill one or more vacancies. This is a non-bargaining unit position. The facility typically shuts down annually between Christmas and New Year's Day. As such, all BEP employees must take leave for workdays during the shutdown period.


    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    A one-year probationary period may be required. A one-year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required. Public Trust

    This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting."     The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time.
