- Working with cross-functional team to support UAS and directed energy programs.
- Conducting studies, technical assessments, and architectural level analysis of systems to determine system electrical performance and effectiveness.
- Electrical system design, layout, integration and test
- Supporting system demonstrations and deployments as required.
- Competency with electronics benchtop prototyping, test, and analysis.
- Experience with benchtop test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, spectrum analyzer).
- Experience with integration and testing of complex systems.
- System level analysis and testing, and analysis of various electrical systems.
- Electrical hardware design and printed circuit board layout experience using Altium or similar ECAD tools.
- Testing and Integration of hardware and software.
- Previous involvement in the specification and selection of electronic components
- Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
- Possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a government driving permit if required
- Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
- Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary
- Experience with directed energy weapons systems.
- Experience with design of systems for operation in austere environments
- Embedded Systems design with common microcontrollers - Sensor interface and integration.
- Familiarity with software languages, specifically Python, C/C++ and familiarity with Linux OS.
- Power system design and power calculations for AC-DC rectifiers, DC-DC converter, High-voltage AC & DC systems.
- Development of engineering requirements, test plans, and reports.
- Data Acquisition knowledge.
- Knowledge of mitigation techniques for electro-magnetic interference (EMI) emissions and susceptibility.
- Knowledge of cable design and design for EMI mitigation

This involves establishing technical requirements based on stated functional objectives for the product. The candidate will analyze the requirements and establish a design path to meet them. The candidate will perform the detailed design work necessary to produce a fully functional prototype. The candidate will develop test plans to demonstrate performance meeting the technical requirements established.
