Overview:
M Health Fairview is looking for a System Nursing Professional Development Specialist - RN to support our OR teams.
This position improves the professional practice and role competence of nurses and other healthcare personnel by facilitating ongoing learning, change, and role competence and growth with the intention of improving population health through indirect care.
The Professional Development Specialist will support our OR teams at our Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina and Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville.
This is a 0.8FTE (64 hours every two weeks.We offer a generous benefits package including medical, dental, paid time off, retirement options, tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment program.

The NPDS uses organizational change strategies and theories to drive desired outcomes.Advances the profession by contributing to the professional development of others and supporting ongoing professional learning as individuals develop across practice, professional, and educational settings.

Promotes a spirit of inquiry, the generation and dissemination of new knowledge, and the use of evidence to advance clinical education, guide clinical practice, and improve the quality of care for the patient, family, and/or community (the health care consumer/partner).
Advocate for Nursing Specialty. Actively supports, promotes, and demonstrates nursing professional development within a nursing practice specialty, including the promotion of nursing certification.Partner for practice transitions. Supports the transition of nurses and allied nursing staff across practice and learning environments, roles, and professional stages.
Supports and partners with nursing practice professionals, nursing operations, and other team members with the shared goal of achieving the organizations mission and vision.
Qualifications:
Required
Education
Bachelors Degree in Nursing
Experience
3 or more years of OR nursing experience
Experience in teaching, coaching, precepting, or training
License/Certification/Registration
Current MN RN License
BLS certification
Preferred
Education
Masters Degree in Nursing or healthcare related field
Experience
1 or more years education experience
License/Certification/Registration
Recognized ANCC certification in Nursing Specialty aligned to your area of practice
ANPD Certification
