- Manage a portfolio of donors, soliciting annual gifts in the range of $15,000 and higher.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with current donors, encouraging continued and increased giving.
- Utilize leads from various sources to inform, engage, and connect with potential donors.
- Partner with leadership to ensure donors are moving through the solicitation pipeline effectively.
- Conduct research to identify new prospects and develop strategies to match their interests with our strategic priorities.
- Strategize and manage events related to affinity groups, fostering strong relationships with diverse members.
- Collaborate with affinity groups such as The Daisy Chain, The Fund Development Committee, and Juliette Gordon Low to advance fundraising goals.
- Conduct face-to-face cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship meetings with donors, recording all interactions accurately.
- Support the fiscal operation of the department, ensuring timely and accurate monitoring and reporting of contributions.
- Lead planning and evaluation of fundraising initiatives, including the Annual Fund.
- Develop and maintain system-wide processes for gift entry, accounting, and acknowledgments.
- Serve as the liaison with the IT Department to manage relationships with outside vendors related to the donor database system.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a professional position with demonstrated fundraising experience producing charitable contributions, a Bachelor's degree will be considered.
- Proven ability to exercise good and independent judgment, consistently follow through, plan, and act strategically, tactfully, and creatively.
- Must be comfortable speaking before groups and requesting funds, preferably in the not-for-profit sector.
- Must have proven skills in written and oral communication; and effective organizational, interpersonal, prioritization, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be skilled in effective volunteer and staff leadership, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, and directing and motivating volunteers and staff.
- Ability to come into the Raleigh Service Center 1-2 times a month for team meetings.
- Requires driving a council vehicle or a personal vehicle; therefore, the individual must complete a motor vehicle history check, possess, and maintain a current, valid driver's license, and self-report any vehicle violations.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules (evenings and weekends).
- Demonstrated donor database experience, preferably with Raiser's Edge.
- Advanced computer analysis skills to create documents, spreadsheets, timelines, and reports will be extremely important and frequently need upgrading.
- Commitment to GSNCCP and GSUSA Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Racial Justice (DEIB/RJ) initiatives.
- Must be willing to obtain GSUSA membership ($25 annually) upon employment.

As the Donor Relations Manager at Girl Scouts NC Coastal Pines you will play a pivotal role in cultivating and stewarding relationships with our valued donors. Your primary focus will be to develop and maintain a portfolio of active donors, ensuring continued and increased giving to support our mission and programming. You will collaborate closely with the Chief Development Officer and other team members to strategize, execute, and evaluate fundraising initiatives. Additionally, you will lead efforts to integrate DEIBRJ principles into our fundraising strategies and engage donors in supporting our mission in meaningful ways.
