    LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Archbold Living Cairo Position Description

    Education Requirements:
    Graduate of a school of Practical Nursing. Licensed in the State of Georgia as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Certification in Basic Life Support.


    Experience:
    Entry level. Experience preferred and long-term care experience a plus.


    Required Skills:
    Excellent communication skills. Competency in providing resident care including age appropriate interventions that meet physical, emotional, developmental, psychosocial and educational needs. Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace as essential functions of the job. Honesty and maintaining a professional composure in public are important aspects of the job.

    Good physical and mental health


    Supervises:
    Care of group of residents and assigned nursing personnel

    Supervised By:
    Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, Charge Nurse

    Long Term Care Nurse Core:
    Ability to effectively perform as Charge Nurse, if assigned. Manage Med Cart and other equipment if assigned. Maintain resident rights and confidentiality. Participate in the annual State Survey#s of facility. Demonstrate effective clinical skills, and utilize the nursing process in planning or providing care for residents of all ages. Maintain a safe environment for residents, co-workers, visitors and self. Demonstrate ability to document accurately and in a timely manner with the highest concern for accuracy and completeness. Assume responsibility for maintaining current certifications and licensure required for position. Ability to effectively supervise staff. LPN (Archbold Living Cairo) Demonstrates effective supervisory skills Demonstrates effective charging and documentation skills. Monitors and dispenses medications Performs routine nursing care and maintains professionalism. Maintains adequacy of nursing supplies and equipment. Maintains resident#s rights and confidentiality Assumes responsibility for assigned duties, providing care for residents# ages, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
