    Description

    Excellent opportunity to begin your career with Kentucky State Parks while working in our beautiful park located in Bardstown, Kentucky.

    We are currently accepting applications for a part time Accounting/Business Clerk at My Old Kentucky Home State Park.

    This position performs financial and business support duties within the Business Office.

    A successful candidate should be able to do basic accounting to manage revenue postings, reconcile receipts for expenses, and take payments.

    Additional duties include front desk customer service for incoming calls for business, events bookings, and tours. Daily duties include bank deposits, ordering supplies, filing, and mail distribution.

    This position requires a motivated individual that will serve as a "hands-on" member of the team, and someone that enjoys working with guest and clients and has exceptional customer service.


    This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Supporting Business Manager in all facets of the financial business operations.
    • Assist sales department with payment collections and routing calls.
    • Provide customer service to all incoming guests.
    • Be the first impression for the business office and sales team.

    Minimum Requirements


    EDUCATION:
    High school graduate.

    EXPERIENCE, TRAINING,


    OR SKILLS:
    Two years of accounting, bookkeeping, or fiscal clerical experience.

    Substitute EDUCATION for


    EXPERIENCE:

    Training in accounting, business administration, business education, office administration, or a related field will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

    Probationary Period

    This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
