    Summary


    Under the direction of theChild CareAssistant Director, the Site Director is responsible for the supervision and implementation of the center programs.

    Duties


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Follows the DCF Wisconsin Licensing Rules for GroupChild CareCenters and the Kettle Moraine YMCAChild CarePolicies.
    • Workswith the supervisor for hiring, onboarding,
    developing,counseling

    and termination of staff.

    • Schedulesand monitorsstaff (staff/child ratios), continuing education, conductsstaff meetings and performsstaff reviews.
    • Assistsin curriculum planning (including field trips) and
    delegatesappropriately

    to teachers.

    • Takeson the role of teacher as needed.
    • Maintains all required paperwork for the program including but not

    limitedto:
    staff/volunteer

    records, child records, DCF, Human Services requirements andYoungstar.

    • Markets the program and monitors the intake of newenrollment.
    • Maintains a safe,nurturingand orderly environment meeting all rules and regulations.
    • Conducts program observations weekly.
    • Reviews budget monthly.
    • Problem solvesissues,
    concerns,incidentsand

    reportsto supervisor withpossible solutions.

    Greetsandcommunicateswith

    parents,keepsall interactions positive and is sensitive to the feelings of children and parents. Schedules bi-annual parent – teacher conferences and creates monthly newsletter for the program.

    • Participates in approved continuing
    educationtomaintaincertifications.

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

Utilizes non-threatening methods to address sensitive issues and inappropriate behavior or performance. Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills required to perform well. Uses best practices and demonstrates up-to-date knowledge and skills in technology.

    Requirements


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum age of21 years old.
    • Degree in Early Childhood or Related Field-Associate'sDegreePreferred.
    • Must meet Wisconsin RegistryLevel 12 andqualifications for Center Directorfor a center 51 or more children.
    4. 2years experiencein Early

    Childhood/ChildCarepreferred.
    5. 1yearexperience in a supervisory rolepreferred.

    • Ability
    toappropriatelyinteract

    with children at their cognitive level.

    • CPR/AED(infant, child,
    adult)requiredwithin

    3 months of hire.

    • Must pass fingerprint check.
    • Must complete a health physical within30 daysof hire.

    CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Bloodborne Pathogens/Child Abuse Prevention every year

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • The ability to lift 40 lbs.
    • The ability
    toparticipateinrequiredphysicalactivitieswith

    the children.
