    JOB DESCRIPTION

    A competent ICU nurse needs to be flexible about working conditions and care about the extremely diverse needs of different patients. Their primary responsibility is to work with patients who are in critical condition, requiring 24/7 care. ICU Nurses are primarily responsible for applying their nursing specialties to maintain a patient's health and life. Common responsibilities include head-to-toe assessments, wound care, medication administration, and much more. Similarly, an ICU Nurse will chart vitals and monitor the patient's condition to prepare for worst-case scenarios. Recording details and symptoms of patient medical history and current health. Preparing patients for exams and treatment. Administer medications and treatments, then monitor patients for side effects and reactions.

    DUTIES
    • Monitor exact, detailed reports and records of critical ICU patients.
    • Monitor and record symptoms and changes in patients' conditions and information to the physician.
    • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostics tests to identify and assess the patient's condition.
    • Carefully observe and document patient medical information and vital signs.
    • Document patients' medical histories and assessment findings.
    • Document patients' treatment plans, interventions, outcomes, or plan revisions.
    • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members about whole patient care plans.
    • Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by the patient's response and conditions.
    • Monitor the critical patients for changes in status and indications of conditions such as sepsis or shock and institute appropriate interventions.
    • Administering intravenous fluids and medications as per doctor's order.
    • Monitor patients' fluid intake and output to detect emerging problems such as fluid and electrolyte imbalances.
    • Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
    • Identify patients who are at risk of complications due to nutritional status.
    • Treating wounds and providing advanced life support.
    • Keeping organized and following patient care plans exactly.
    • Administering medications and using medical equipment.
    • Communicating clearly and honestly with people from all backgrounds.
    • Keeping good records and maintaining patients' charts.
    • Using basic math skills adequate for dosage calculations.
    • The ability to work as part of a team in a hospital or post-acute care setting or to work alone as a home visitor.
    • Standing for long periods, lifting moderate weight, and working in environments where there may be infectious material.
    • And other duties as required.
    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
    • National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) certification
    • A valid nursing certificate, BSN, or MSN degree from an accredited college or university.
    • A valid unencumbered RN license for the State
    • Current vaccinations and health clearance certification.
    • Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
    • ACLS certification.
    • Must have previous experience with starting IVs.
    • Must have at least 12 months of recent and relevant consecutive acute care experience in this specialty. (2 years of intermediate/progressive care experience preferred)
    • High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with patients during stressful experiences.
    • Strong organizational abilities and good communication skills
    • The appropriate license to work in their state/county.
    • Fluent in English.

    Number of Staff: 50

    Number of Patients seen daily: 80-100

    Number of Beds: 22

    RN to Patient Ratio: 1-2

    Tech to Patient Ratio: 4 Tech work in Triage

    HOURS OF OPERATION
    • Full-Time Nights Shifts available.
    COMPENSATION
    • 80,000-114,000 USD Annually
