The University of Miami Health System, Miller School of Medicine is looking for a Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to join their team. This full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor level (Clinical Pediatrics) within the Department of Pediatrics involves caring for critically ill pediatric and adult congenital cardiac patients. The faculty member will work in the PICU/CICU and other locations within the health system, dedicating 14-16 weeks to service time. There is also an opportunity to work in the medical/surgical PICU for certified individuals. Responsibilities include teaching pediatric critical care and pediatric cardiology fellows, as well as pursuing research interests.

Key responsibilities:

• Attending physician for critically ill patients
• Teaching duties for fellows and other healthcare staff
• Participation in research activities
• Leading role in quality improvement initiatives
• Contributing to clinical practice plans and protocols
• Engagement in team performance enhancement activities

Desired Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree required
• Board certified/eligible in Pediatrics
• Dual boarded/eligible in Pediatric Critical Care and Cardiology or board certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
• Board certified/eligible in pediatric cardiology with advanced clinical training in cardiac intensive care medicine
• Significant cardiac critical care experience
• Florida medical license (or eligibility)
