    The Regional Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Manager is responsible for driving the regional plan for all schools to provide academic and behavioral strategies for scholars with various needs. Reporting to the Director of Special Education, the Regional MTSS Manager leads the tiered system of education at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools. The Regional MTSS Manager is responsible for implementing the screening, diagnostic, and monitoring process for MTSS, as well as providing cohort professional development of school-based MTSS Coordinators and interventionists.

    Job Responsibilities:

    MTSS Leadership 80%

    • Set, direct, and execute the tiered system of education at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools to ensure that all scholars are on a path to a choice filled life
    • Ensure schools are driving progressive plan to provide differentiated support to scholars to meet scholars where they are
    • Monitor for district and state compliance of the MTSS process to mitigate risk for our organization
    • Develop and manage systems for dissemination and collection of MTSS Referrals & Screeners to support MTSS process, coordinating universal screening and intervention placement tests
    • Execute consistent and effective coaching cycle with intervention teachers
    • Manage and maintain intervention progress monitoring trackers, regularly analyze intervention and progress monitoring to inform decisions about modifying interventions and/or referral to evaluation
    • Coordinate with service providers to administer screeners to gather information to identify student needs for intervention
    • Coordinate with vendors to generate contracts for intervention platforms, services, and training

    Cohort Leadership20%

    • Develop and lead cohort based learning for MTSS Coordinators, interventionists and foundations teachers and partner with academic and school leaders to design impactful experiential learning and skill based training
    • Progress monitor cohort against identified benchmarks for success to ensure that leadership pipelines are robust and that leaders are ready to step into new positions
    • Provides coaching to emerging leaders as they progress through cohort experiences to ensure successful completion of training
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Minimum 5 years experience in the classroom with a track record of results, with 3 years of experience as a school interventionist or school level MTSS coordinator
    • Deep understanding of intervention, curriculum/standards, Tier I core curriculum, continuum of services and research best practices within MTSS
    • Experience with delivering high-quality professional learning and a track record of developing others knowledge and skills
    • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and implement solutions, an ability to manage both the big picture and the details, and a strong sense of judgment
    • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, multi-task, work in a fast-paced demanding environment, operate effectively with ambiguity, and willing to learn and take on new responsibilities
    • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills and ability to build meaningful relationships quickly
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality while working with sensitive key decisions that impact multiple stakeholder groups across the organization
    Additional Information

    Compensation:

    Compensation for this role is between $70,000-$75,000 The starting pay will depend on various factors that may include but are not limited to professional experience, education, training, and certifications.

    Location & Work Conditions:

    This position requires candidates to be based in Atlanta and regularly be in schools and able to attend in person meetings and events. Additional in person time may be necessary based upon organizational needs.
