    Description


    A client of Insight Global is looking for a Fire Alarm Service Technician to join their team in the panhandle of FL.

    The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong understanding of troubleshooting procedures and be adept at using technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, and bulletins to effectively repair equipment.

    They will be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, and installing Fire & Life Safety systems from various manufacturers, including SimplexGrinnell. The role requires the ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.

    Exceptional customer service skills are essential, as the candidate will be expected to maintain consistent communication with district staff and customers to ensure satisfaction.

    Additionally, the candidate should be proficient in completing Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as smart phones and laptops, obtaining customer signatures upon service call completion, and participating in scheduled on-call rotations.

    Furthermore, the candidate should be willing to contribute to the training and mentoring of other members of the service team and be adaptable to perform other duties as assigned.

    NICET Level II certification
    3+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems

    Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals

    Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices

    Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc
