    Summary/Purpose

    The Healthcare Training Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of the Healthcare Program. This position provides leadership, support, and guidance to instructional staff, and monitors and evaluates the Healthcare Program's productivity in achieving training and education goals for students.

    Essential Functions

    • Manages instructional staff; monitors, supports, assists in pre-training preparation and execution of training modules, and evaluates performance.
    • Creates and manages annual budget for healthcare program operations.
    • Leads healthcare instructors in curriculum development and design, class syllabi and course descriptions in accordance with accreditation requirements.
    • Builds and maintains relationships with external training partners.
    • Instructs classes or secures substitute instructors on an as-needed basis.
    • Responsible for inventory and management of all instructional materials and supplies.
    • Provides up-to-date reporting on all training resources: staffing, materials, equipment, students and student performance.
    • Participates in student disposition conferences, unit staff meetings and other meetings as required.
    • Models behavior consistent with expectations for students.
    • Collaborates and communicates regularly with senior leadership in making educational decisions and use of company and community resources to support learning.
    • Develops and manages course evaluations for all healthcare training courses.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This individual supervises all the instructors in the Healthcare Training department.

    Work Environment

    This position operates in an office and vocational training school environment.

    Physical Demands

    This position must be able to constantly remain in a stationary position (stand or sit). This position constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as copiers, printers, fax machines, etc. The person in this position frequently communicates with students and staff members and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time, exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). It is not eligible for overtime pay. Hours of work are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Night and weekend work may be required to meet the expectations of the position.

    Travel

    Some local travel required.

    Required Education & Experience

    1. Associate's degree or equivalent.
    2. Minimum of 5 years work experience within the healthcare industry.
    3. Minimum of 3 years work experience managing a team.
    4. Minimum of 3 years teaching experience.
    5. Curriculum development, instructional design, and program implementation experience.

    Preferred Education & Experience

    1. Bachelor's degree.
