Job description
Extreme Auto Design is seeking a skilled and motivated Accessory Technician to join our team. This individual will be primarily responsible for performing precision wheel alignments on a variety of vehicles, while also handling related suspension, steering, and tire services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing 2-wheel and 4-wheel alignments using alignment equipment
- Diagnosing steering and suspension alignment issues
- Installing subwoofers and audio systems
- Installing amplifiers and wiring
- Lighting upgrades (LED, off road lights, etc)
- Basic testing of wiring, mounting, and fitment of accessories
- Installing grill guards, bumper guards
- Installing running boards, lift kits, tool boxes, etc
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in automotive alignments or suspension/steering repair.
Proficiency in using computerized alignment equipment (e.g., Hunter, John Bean, etc.).
Understanding of vehicle suspension, steering, and wheel/tire systems.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
ASE Certification(s) a plus but not required.
Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Able to stand, bend, squat, and work in various positions throughout the day.
Comfortable working in a shop environment with occasional exposure to loud noises, dust, and chemicals.
