Our team crafts essential foam seat cushions, backs, and armrests for the automotive industry right here in Shelby Township. As a Production Operator, you'll shape these components, ensuring they meet exacting specifications. Your attention to detail and dedication will drive our products' quality. Expect a standing role and occasional weekends to align with customer schedules. As a member of our production team, you'll uphold our guidelines, ensuring excellence. Safety is paramount – we're hoping you can promptly report equipment or workplace concerns, comply with company systems and policies, contribute to the development of TS 16949 policies and procedures, and respect operating instructions and standardized work. You will need to maintain a clean workspace, participate in communication, and fulfill additional responsibilities as required. Your expertise will assist colleagues, fostering teamwork. Within our vital production team, you'll cross-train across diverse workstations, mastering various roles.
    • SPRAY: Prep molds to prevent foam sticking.
    • INSERT: Add inserts to molds based on part specs.
    • DEMOLD/CLEAN: Form foam, remove part, clean mold.
    • TRIMMERS: Trim excess foam, identify repairs.
    • INSPECTION/GLUE: Thoroughly inspect parts.
    • REPAIR: Fix parts if needed, re-inspect.
    • PACKOUT/BOX: Prepare boxes, sort, pack, label, and scan parts.
    What We Offer:
    • Base pay: $17.60 per hour (2nd shift) $ rd shift)
    • A $100 bonus for you and $25 for your referral to WSI
    • Opportunity for hire-in with benefits: Accrued PTO, 401k, Insurance
    Qualifications for this job include:
    • Preferably a high school degree or equivalent.
    • Experience: A minimum of six months of experience in an automotive plant is preferred.
    • Prior experience working in a team-based environment is advantageous.
    • Able to regularly engage in bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, gripping, grasping, and pinching to access material products and equipment.
    • Can be on your feet for the entire day on the plant floor.
    • Must be able to read, write and speak English
    • You can lift objects weighing up to 10lbs and push/pull objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
    • Work overtime as required or needed.
