Mase Seitz Briggs is a mid-sized civil trial law firm located in Coconut Grove/Miami, Florida.

We are seeking a trial lawyer to join our growing practice. Our practice includes representing both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury and maritime matters. If you are looking to develop your trial skills, this is the place for you. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with a passion for trial work.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of cases
• Draft and file pleadings, discovery, demand letters, motions and memoranda
• Provide legal guidance to clients
• Interaction with expert witnesses, including conferences, drafting of reports, and depositions
• Taking and defending depositions
• Preparation and attendance at mediations, hearings, and other court appearances
• Active participation in trial preparation and trial

Qualifications

• Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar
• 2-5 years' experience, preferably handling maritime/personal injury matters
• Law degree from a fully accredited law school
• Superior writing and communication skills
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Self-starter that is willing and able to take charge of cases
• Bilingual/Spanish is a plus
