Job DescriptionOpenwork/Rock Staffing is seeking a Construction Civil Estimator in Hampton, Georgia. Please call for details.The construction Civil Estimator is responsible for evaluating bid documents, specifications, and drawings, preparing accurate estimates for projects, and submitting professional proposal packages to our customers.
You must have experience in estimating with dirt and pipeResponsibilities:
Analyze and interpret engineering plans to determine scope of work.
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates by analyzing construction plans and specifications and performing
detailed quantity take-offs using dirt take off and estimating software.
Prepare complete and accurate proposal packages for municipality work by reviewing all proposal documents,
specifications, and requirements.
Development of project schedules using project scheduling software.
Understand and evaluate project risks and communicate with team.
Conduct turnover meetings and preconstruction meetings with project managers and superintendents.
Work with the project team to build and maintain relationships with owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
Other duties as assigned. Qualifications for Construction Estimator
Knowledgeable and experienced working within dirt take off and estimating software required.
Advanced computer skills with experience in MS Office and MS Project preferred.
Extensive knowledge of Georgia construction standards and specifications
Ability to write reports and professional correspondence to vendors, government officials, and clients.
Must be self-motivated and punctual.
Insurable driving record.
Pay rate is 80 to 123K a year
