Scheduling an appointment Identify patient using compliance guidelines Register patient by entering demographic guarantor information Gather special needs information coordinate provision necessary support services Translate patients request using clinical terminology specialty-specific guidelines Use scheduling questionnaires scheduling guidelines conduct advanced appointment search Determine appropriate provider template slot while respecting provider referring provider preferences Complete appointment resolving registration warning messages confirming referring location visit directions additional instructions Revenue Cycle Collect verify insurance information Initiate eligibility check communicate financial obligations identify responsible payment enter guarantor section Notify patient of financial responsibility for visit Analyze work lists prioritize Emergent Urgent Routine request Work lists include faxed referral request internal Duke Providers new patient appointments Patients needing rescheduled due to change in providers schedule Quality And Performance Measures Achieve call quality standards job results meet quality performance expectations Adhere daily work schedules percentage availability scores Meet service measures lower abandoned calls call duration calls lost Support other services functions within Duke Health Access Services Required Qualifications At This Level Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred College completion post-secondary education Experience Minimum 2 years customer service experience or 1 year relevant healthcare call center experience.Job description
