Position OverviewThis position will provide comprehensive maintenance support to Proterra's Maintenance Supervisor and other site leadership team members.

You will be responsible for providing a full range of technical solutions to client groups at the site and be in an environment where you can have a greater impact.

This position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and collaborate with team members located at the manufacturing facility.
About the Role

• You Will:Performs highly diversified duties concerning the installation and maintenance of production equipment.

Performs emergency/unscheduled repairs on production equipment.
Performs scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
Performs equipment troubleshooting leveraging mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skillsets.
Read / interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance on production equipment.

Have an understanding of machine control logic (PLC) and be able to utilize that understanding in the troubleshooting of equipment.

Able to maintain and troubleshoot robotics systems, HMI components, control network components and motor controls.
Use a variety of hand / power tools, testing equipment and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas (5S).Other duties as assigned by management.

Mechatronics degree and/or 5 years of experience working with automation assembly lines (i.e., mechanically, electrically or pneumatics).PLC experience is preferred (Allen-Bradley is a plus)

Vision systems experience is preferredPhysical Demands Include:

May work various shifts as needed; may be requested to travel to different locations; Lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds; Able to walk, stand, crouch, bench, kneel, lift, carry and reach as needed in large and tight spaces; Good hand/eye coordination; Manual dexterity with occasional repetitive finger motion.

Environmental Demands Include; Ability to work in manufacturing environment with extreme heat and cold conditions; Wear protective clothing or respiratory protective equipment; Works with irritant chemicals, gases, etc.
